Variants
-
Race Pinch
- Clamping directly before TDC
- Minimal break in procedure
- Optimal performance
- constant idle speed
The cylinder liner is optimally adapted to the piston diameter in the clamping area and is also pressed conically.
Recommended break in procedure:
1 tankful with increased oil content (12%) at rich idle speed and constant temperature ~90°.
1-2 tankfuls with increased oil content (12%) under partial load on the route. Keep temperature constant. -
Medium Pinch
- Increased clamping length
- Advanced break in procedure
- Optimal performance
- constant idle speed
The cylinder liner is optimally adapted to the piston diameter in the clamping area and is also pressed conically.
Recommended break procedure:
3 tankfuls with increased oil content (12%) at rich idle speed and constant temperature ~90°.
2-3 tankfuls with increased oil content (12%) under partial load on the route. Keep temperature constant. -
Strong Pinch
- Strong clamping
- Longest break in procedure
- Corresponds to original clamping mechanism
The cylinder liner is optimally adapted to the piston diameter in the clamping area and is also pressed conically.

Frequently Asked Question
Which components do I have to send in?
In order to offer you fast service, we simply ask you to send us the following components:
Only re-clamping:
It is sufficient if you send us your cylinder liner including connecting rod and piston.
Renew clamps and bearings
Please send us the connecting rods & pistons, cylinder liner and the engine casing including the old bearings.
How do I pack my components
Make sure to protect each component individually in the packaging with bubble wrap or several layers of newspaper. Your components shouldn't bang against each other in the box.
Where do I send my components?
You can send the package to the following address:
Exige-RC
Taunusstrase 15
50374 Erftstadt
Germany
Do you offer a guarantee?
In general, we guarantee excellent service and absolute roundness of your cylinder liner after clamping.
However, we cannot guarantee the durability of the engine or its running characteristics, as there are many more influencing factors.
Do I need to include anything with the delivery?
Please print out your order confirmation and place it in the package with your components. This will help us easily assign your components.
Can you swap my connecting rod?
We have to disappoint you at the moment. We don't offer connecting rods as spare parts, and our new tool for this is still in the design stage. However, we'll be happy to keep you updated via the contact form.
Can I include my new bearings?
Unfortunately not. We only offer our bearing service with ExigeRC's selected ceramic or steel ball bearings.
